It is in Syria, in the city of Aleppo that the famous Aleppo soap was born. Made from local products that were very abundant in the region over 3,000 years ago. It was the Crusaders who brought Aleppo soap to the West in the Middle Ages. It is the ancestor of Marseille soap and all the solid soaps of today.
