The linden tree (Tiliaceae family) is a fast-growing tree 30 to 40 m high. It is a tree that is found almost everywhere in France. The deciduous leaves are heart-shaped and the flowers are often used in perfumery, although it is not easy to distinguish the scents of linden flowers! To extract the perfume, petroleum ether is used.
